SLF’s Lively Hoods to Livelihoods project is going live!

After many months of providing training, writing and recording songs and filming music videos, a select few of the talented artists of the Lively Hoods project will be performing their songs at AfrikaBurn in May 2019, to thousands of people. This event is over 300km from Cape Town and all the artists are being flown down from their hometowns for this event. To turn this dream into a reality, SLF have embarked on a crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs associated with travelling to and surviving in the desert for a week at AfrikaBurn. This is the biggest live performance opportunity these talented artists have experienced yet and this platform will not only give them the exposure they deserve but the opportunity to network and grow as artists.

Following our week-long trek to the desert for these live performances, SLF will be preparing for the release of the project’s collaborative album, “State of the Nation”. We will keep you posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram about the release due for mid-June 2019. It will be gratis for all so stay tuned for updates!

Check out these sneak previews of “Old Shanty Town” and “Rand Theft Auto”- songs which will be on the upcoming album, “The State of The Nation”, as a taste of the Lively Hoods music collective talent.
